One of the most famous beaches of the island, Kaladi is found at the east side, so, it is better to swim there when the wind is west or south. Reaching the beach includes about 10 minutes of walking and descending by stairs, but do not hesitate to visit this place! Be aware to bring your oqn equipment, as there are no canteen facilities, umbrellas or sunbeds.
Kalami is close to Mylopotamos and it is really hard to reach! But once you manage to get there, you will be rewarded by the magnificent, isolated beach at the end of a canyon. Firstly, you need to take the road to Panagia Orfani and at the end of it, you have to leave your vehicle. After about 15 minutes of walking and descending to rocks (with the help of a rope which is there), you will realise that all this was worth it!
In the homonymous village, which is located in the Northern part of Kythira, Platia Ammos beach beautifuly combines sand and pebbles in the whole of this large area to which it belongs. Although its next to the village of Platia Ammos,it has not lost its low traffic. That’s why it is ideal for those who look for calmness,relaxation,water sports, and sunsets that will be forever etched in their memory!
